Progress. I like it.

I went to the post office this morning to pick up the package they had for me, I was hoping it was my Soprano's Box set but it ended up being something I ordered for my grandmother, after that I hit up the bank to deposit some money, then we headed out to my grandma's to give her the thing I ordered but she wasn't home so we met up with my uncle and gave it to him to give to her. Then we decided last minute to head out to Merrickville for the car show, its a 45 minute drive and the heat was so insane today, when we got there we couldn't find parking at all, we literally drove around this tiny town looking for a parking spot but couldn't find one so we gave up, which I hate because I really wanted to see the cars, it's a pretty popular show so there's always tons of cars. We ended up driving back home through the country side, which was nice but I'm totally jealous of the people that live in the country and have horses and lots of land. I want that.

When we got back into town, we went to Canadian Tire, I really have no idea what we where looking for but they didn't have it so we left there and decided to grab something to eat, so we had Shawarma. mmmm one of my favorite foods and I love that its so low-fat/low cal. Usually I would get a large sandwich, with a potatoe and garlic sauce plus a drink, today I only got a small sandwich and a bottle of water. I came home and did some laundry then we went out for a run. From the way we tracked it, I think we did almost 2k. 1k down the path, then another 1k back to the car. It didn't feel as slow as it did yesterday, felt like it went by fast.

Went to Wal-mart after we had our showers and got some fruit, salad stuff and a new battery for the scale because my aunt swear the scale was broke before when I told her I lost two pounds. Well it apparently wasn't because I went from 226.8 eight days ago to 224.5 three days ago and today it says 221.6 so if that's correct, then that's almost 5 lbs in 8 days, is that even possible? I don't even know if I should believe it.

As I was walking around in Wal-mart I actually felt like I was going to barf, and I felt really weak. I'm not sure why, I didn't feel it until I was in the store. I think probably the sudden lack of sugar probably? I ate a small apple in the car and I feel better now.

Now I'm snacking on a mango. yum.

p.s I love this icon, because I have the exact same runners. I love them. So comfy and light.

Holy frig. One whole week has come and gone, I didn't think I'd last one week! Well I have and I don't have plans to stop any time soon. I'm finding that I actually like running and excising.  I gave running a rest for days 4 and 5 and instead did some skipping & squats even though I was burnt out from work, they've got everyone in the hotel doing extra work because our inspection is on the 18th or 19th so I was extra tired but I felt like running yesterday so I found myself a new place to run, down by the Ottawa river and I did a 15 minute run down the bike path, then ran/walked the 15 minutes back to the car. It was good.

Today I have to go to the post office to pick up something that came for us, I'm not sure if its box set being returned, or if its something I ordered for my grandmother. Then I have to get to the bank to cash some government money, then I'm going to go for a run by the water. Maybe later I'll do some groceries as well.

I just found out that behind the parliament buildings there is a stair case with 264 stairs, that are sometimes accessible to the public, I think that sounds like a challenge!

I don't have proper words to describe these next two things...

George Zimmerman found Not Guilty..... just, what!?

Corey Monteith found dead in a Vancouver hotel room of an O.D ... again, just what!? really!? so sad.

Wighted myself last night, first it said i gained a pound, then it said I lost 2 pounds. Waited until later that night and it still said I lost 2 pounds.

woot. 2lbs down.

Where did I leave you off from my last entry? Right around lunch time I think. Yep.

So I made myself an omelette with veggies and a small spinach salad for lunch yesterday, When my aunt got off work I went with her to bring the dogs for their daily walk/run/play session. They played fetch for a little while, then we walked for about 20 minutes. Usually its about 45 minutes but it was so hot after 20 minutes they just wanted to go home, they both would plop down in the grass, so we left.

I crawled my lazy butt out of bed this morning at 5:30am, went for a quick 15 minute run then took a quick shower before I went to work, work was pretty busy so I feel like I got a triple work out today. I made dinner, Salmon, baked potato and corn on the cob. I know the potato isn't exactly healthy at all but I had them since before I decided to do this health thing so I figured I don't want to just waste them, anyway it was yummy. After dinner we took the dogs for their walk, we went for 30-40 minutes and that was good too.

After that I went to wal-mart and picked up a jump rope and a wrist wallet thingy that I'm going to use for my ipod, because the actual cases for ipods they have are for the big ones and I just have a little nano so it should work good.

Also, I decided I want to do The Color Run for those of you that have never heard of it, its a 5k run/walk that's pretty much a world wide epidemic going on right now. No finish time, no prizes or places just people having fun and getting sprayed with paint powder at every check point. It looks super fun. The only thing is you have to pay a fee of 52.50$ when you sign up online and its only payable with a credit card, which I don't have and even if Auntie will let me use hers, the only person that wants to do it with me doesn't have a credit card and I'm not sure she would be able to give me the money right away then I would have another situation where someone owes me money and it would be like pulling teeth trying to get it. hmm.

Also xfriendlypsycho wanted to see my tattoos, So I've included them all except for one which I hate and will never show anyone because its gross.

That's all for me folks, good night. <3

I guess last night I was so inspired by this picture..

I actually made a 'Workout' playlist on my Ipod and decided to commit to eating better and doing at least one active-activity per day. Running.

My playlist

Aviici - Wake me up
IconaPop - I love it
Linkin Park - Crawling
Tiesto ft. CC Sheffield - Escape Me
La Roux - Bullet Proof
Linkin Park - In the end
Trapt - Headstrong
Vita Chambers - Fix You
Linkin Park - Leave out all the rest
Fort Minor - Remember the name
Linkin Park - The new Divide
Kevin Rudolf ft. Lil wayne - Let it rock
Paul Engemann - Push it to the limit
30 seconds to Mars - Close to the edge
Survivor - Eye of the tiger
30 seconds to Mars - This is war

So I couldn't sleep at all last night, I ended up looking up foods that I should be eating to make my diet more healthy and different workout systems. I don't really think this is going to consume my life, I'm not going to completely change everything I eat, I think just adding healthier foods to a meal, plus doing some sort of activity such a running, walking longer with the dogs would be good for me, even just to boost my iron/vitamin levels to a good point plus to help me sleep better at night since I have such a hard time actually falling asleep, maybe a night time run will get me tired enough to get a good nights sleep.

So I finally fell asleep around 3am this morning, so my morning run at 5:30am that I was planning went out the window. I woke up at 10:30am. So I just got ready before I could change my own mind and out the door I went. I turned on my ipod and ran for about 15 minutes. Which isn't long but let's not forget that I'm not very active anymore, I haven't been really active in years. Anyway I ran and only stopped three times. My lungs burned badly but I think that will change once I do it more often. I'm hoping I can do it in baby steps, like 15 minutes then 20 minutes, then 25 minutes and so on. I also forgot to bring a bottle of water, if I brought it I think I could have went a couple more minutes at least.

So at the moment I'm drinking ice water and having some strawberries. Oh they're so good! A good mix of sweet and sour. <3
07 July 2013 @ 11:44 pm
I have the urge to go for a run, like right now. Its almost midnight here, but now I want to go running. Or something, just do something active...
Maybe it has something to do with this, that I just saw on randompictures

I'm going to get this out of the way first, because I'm pretty sure dzuunmod is dying to know my reaction to Daniel Alfredsson (Ottawa Senators captain) choosing to leave Ottawa to go to Detroit for a chance to win himself a Stanley cup.

I am not happy, not in the lest. I'm sorry. Everyone says "you should be happy for him. He really deserves the chance to win the cup" Yes, I agree, he does, but with us! 17 years as a Ottawa Senator, countless times telling the media and fans that he plans to retire with the team, he loves the team, his family loves the city and all that, the day before you put a statement out saying you agreed to play another year when everyone was sure you would retire, then you choose to go to a different team? that's shitty. I don't like that. To be honest I'm more heart broken at him leaving then I am when Wade Redden left, and I have that boys number tattooed on me! I really hope he does win the cup next year, otherwise he left home for nothing. Oddly enough I would be more okay with him leaving if he went to Boston for some reason. I like Boston, I'd watch there games if he did, but Detroit, how am I going to watch those games? I'm not signing up for NHL center Ice again. Maybe I'm a big baby when it comes to my team but I love my team. I hate what Brian Murray and Eugene Melnyk are doing to it though. I hate that we left Alfie go, I hate that they traded Silfverberg. I hate the rumors that Spezza may get to wear the 'C' because I don't think he's a leader. I think Philips or Neil should get the 'C' simple as that, those are two guys that have worked their butts off for us, that have the leadership qualities and a good rapport with the team and the fans. Spezza should have been the one to leave. Simple as that. I love you Alfie, but I'm disappointed. I'm also disappointed with the players we keep trading and getting next to nothing back to them, we keep getting the shit end of the stick, so annoying but thats a whole other can of worms. Good Luck Alfie, guess we will all have to wait for the season to start to see what happens.

The weather isn't so great today but I was determined to get out and do some strawberry picking at a local berry farm. We saw the farm animals, pet some little goats, I love baby goats, so cute and there was a small donkey, some chickens with their babies, and some pigs. We ended up paying 15$ for two big baskets, we took the tractor ride out to the fields and did our picking, we found a frog and named him Sir Hopsin. Some brat kids where throwing sand and gravel at it while their mother wasnt watching them so I shooed them away and let the frog be. It started to rain as we where finishing up. I split one of the baskets between my mom and my grandma and brought them each some. We got rained on a bit but it was a fun day. I can't wait to go back to that farm for halloween, Haunted hayrides, Haunted houses, so much fun.
Some pics...Collapse )

What else is new? I almost reached my goal of getting 70hrs on my paycheck. I got 65hrs, so not to bad but this pay week I'm going to try to get at least 66-68hrs. I like the bump in pay when I actually keep track of what I'm working and try to stay longer even if I'm taking my sweet time which usually I hate doing.

I've also been keeping my goal of trying to cook more meals. Last week I made a large pot of soup, kind of like goulash but more soupy. So I had that for a couple of days. The passed couple of days its been really hot so I try not to use the oven to much so I've been making different kinds of salads and sandwhiches. Last night I made Korean BBQ chicken, then put it on pita with some veggies, for a small meal.
See more..Collapse )
Oh also, we're thinking of putting Koa into a training program for Search & Rescue dogs. We've wanted to do it for a while now, and the course doesn't cost to much to get him certified and I know he would be amazing at it, his nose is out of this world. He once pulled my aunt from out front door, all the way down the street and around the corner with his nose to the ground and found me at the bus stop waiting for the bus, like 10 minutes after I had left the house. He's crazy with his nose. The problem is just being able to match our schedules so we're free for the class since the glass is only run every couple of months and at one time only. I think that would be awesome to do. Our trainer that we took Koa and Indy too trains police dogs, army dogs, cadaver dogs, search and rescue, obedience, agility, tracking and dock diving. Koa and Indy both have the second highest level of obedience, both have done agility classes and we def want them to do Dock diving, but I think only Koa would do it because Indy isn't that fond of large bodies of water, unlike Koa.

Also took Emery to the vet the other day, time for her annual shots. I also mentioned that I thought she had ear mites, because she had black dirt-like stuff in her ears and it had been there for about a month even though I regularly clean her ears and had been putting drops in them to get rid of it, turns out it isn't ear mites its actually an ear yeast infection caused my Indy licking and cleaning her ears. haha, Indy loves her. So she has ear drops now but wont let me put them in, I guess shes all mad at me, so my aunt does is and she actually lets her. Little Brat. lol.

Happy 4th of July to all my American friends!

Must be why my friends page is so dead tonight. haha. That's okay, hope everyone is having a safe and fun night!

Not to much to talk about tonight, I just wanted to come on and say the above.

Although, cool thing at work today. We're getting new name tags with our names on them and we get to customize them and have our own quote or saying put on them, thats pretty cool since the Hilton mostly tries to conform us all into the same robotic cleaners. No crazy hair colors, no crazy piercings, cover the tattoos, although the tattoo rule went out the window when I made a fuss about it. haha. So as of now mine is going to say "Stay calm & do the Harlem Shake" Mostly because I'm always dancing around or singing something or other. I had it down to say "YOLO!" but then I decided against that. I also thought of using "Hellur!" Because I'm forever saying that, love Madea.

Should have them by the end of July, but the order has to go out on monday, so hopefully I make up my mind about it! Got any suggestions for cute/funny sayings? Do Tell.

Also we're having our inspection at some point between July 16-19, I already requested July 17-19 off for the camping trip so hopefully she will still let me go. Who knows though, she gets all crazy when the inspector comes, we legit have to clean every room top to bottom, spending an hour in each room which is insane. I hate when its that time of the year but without fail we've always scored between 95%-98% which is obviously pretty awesome and not many hotels can say they score that every year, or even at all. If she lets me go I'll be so stoked! haha Get me away from that insanity.

Anyways Bro's and Ho's- I'm out. <3
02 July 2013 @ 09:08 pm
I had the passed three days off work and I legit did abso-fucking-lutely nothing. Which is stupid. I mean, I usually spend Sundays just cleaning the house, which I did do but other then that, I did nothing. It was Canada day on Monday and usually I do go out to watch the fireworks somewhere, hang with friends, have a couple of drinks but nope. I fell asleep at 7pm while watching The Sopranos I got through the first season, and a couple episodes into the second season, before I sent it back out to be returned today. haha, kind of wrong of me to watch it, knowing I complained that it was damaged and I needed a knew one sent to me, but to be honest I'm glad I did watch it because I found out that the first disc in the second season is very scratched up and skips and freezes, so lucky that I had already told her I was sending it back. It cost me almost $30 to send it back too.

I didn't do all that much today. Took the dogs to the dog park, a bunch of people told us there was an injured skunk in the grass over the hill, I asked if anyone bothered to call Animal Control, and nope, not one single person out of like 7 people thought that was a good idea. So we called animal control to come get it, to be honest way to many dogs go to this park and I would hate for one of them to go investigate it and either get sprayed, or hurt by it, or it get hurt by a dog. Besides that this park is literally acres of forest, I'm sure coyotes and other such animals live in that area so I'd hate to go back tomorrow and find it all torn up. At least maybe animal control can get it fixed up and put it back out in the wild.

Went to  Wal-Mart afterwards just to get something for dinner, picked up some burgers and some ginger ale. It's been kind of crappy here weather wise. Usually by this time of year we're having a heatwave, no such this is happening. Just a lot of rain, its kind of gross. I've missed out on Italian week, both my pow wow's, rib fest and a couple other things because of the rain. I wish it would go away. Still going to try to get to PRIDE and a couple fairs.

I joined Pintrest today, I keep hearing about it so I wanted to see what all the fuss is about. Seems to be just like Tumblr. I'll post my link in my info up top if anyone has it and wants to follow me, please do. I'll mostly post Fashion, Home Decor, Destination type stuff. I'll probably get bored of it at times and not update it for days or weeks, kind of like how I am with my tumblr. Oh well. Real life always gets in the way.

Oh yeah, so our next camping trip is in two weeks, for two nights, three days. Should be pretty fun. I think we're going to get the same lot as last time since it was pretty much perfect. I'm hoping its going to be pretty dead on that island, I hate when its full, feel like I can act silly with people all around. Plus then the dogs would have to be on the leashes the whole time which I hate doing to them because they love to go running in the water. I'm hoping my sister will come and maybe I can drag C along with us. That could be fun.

Ew. What the hell happened to LJ?! This is horrific. Seriously.

Anyway, after my shock of seeing the horrible new front page of LJ. Hi! Haven't been around much lately, Hope you're all doing good. Not to much to talk about today.

Got my Soprano's box set in the mail on Friday, opened it to find that it was pretty damaged. The box was dented at the corners, and along the top of it. After taking the case off, I found the inside casing had more dents and scratches as well, and since she wrapped it twice in bubble wrap before wrapping it up I don't think it was from Canada Post. So I emailed her about it and she basically said that she personally wrapped it and it wasn't at all dented but that she would send me out a new one after I send it back to her. Which is fine and dandy but don't try to say it was not your fault. I'm more angry at the way she responded then the fact that it was damaged. It's not a big deal but if I'm paying 130$ for something that is advertised as "new and in package" then it shouldn't be damaged correct?

I'm planning my birthday with the help of C, or should I say lack of help. She asks to help, but does nothing. meh. So I'm going to have a Mafia themed birthday party. I'm calling it a "Sit Down" its going to be on a Sunday at and Italian restaurant called Trattoria Caffe Italia, because you know Italians love Sunday dinners. I'm hoping to have a Tiramisu or Italian Cream Cake. I've asked that guest wear either blazers/suit jackets or fedora style hats. I'm also thinking of putting little toy guns on everyone's plate, I'm still thinking of ideas, so if anyone's got any suggestions let me know!

Canada day. I have no plans for Canada day. Going downtown is so old now, I'm over it, besides I can see the fireworks from my house anyways. I have the next two days off so maybe i'll find something to do.
